An unidentified boy of about 2-3 years old has been rescued from what could have been an accident.
The kid boy was nearly hit by a moving vehicle after he was surprisingly seen in the middle of the road.
The incident happened today, Saturday, October 12th, 2019, along Nnewi – Onitsha old road, directly opposite “The House” close to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.
Speaking to AnaedoOnline, an eyewitness, Barr. Nnamdi Chima who was near the scene of the incident expressed serious concerns over the lackadaisical attitude of parents over the safety and whereabouts of their wards.
Speaking he said, “This young boy was seen in the middle of this road, if not for the driver who matched his break repeatedly, the story could have been different, he could have been dead by now or will be in the intensive care unit in the hospital”

“For now, our efforts to identify his parents has proved abortive”
Speaking also, another eyewitness, Barr. Obinna Ubah expressed his gratitude to God for saving the life of the young boy.
He said, “The driver of the moving vehicle could have been blamed or worst, lynched, if his car killed the child, even without people knowing the child was just on the middle of the busy road playing”
He called on parents to pay proper attention to their kids, especially in this period the kidnapping of school children is on the increase.
At the time of writing, the child was still in the custody of the management of “The House” as efforts were being made to identify the parents or possibly report to the police.
