Anambra Government Lauded By IGP On Security

…Urged other governors to emulate Obiano

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Muhammed Adamu, has commended the giant strides of Anambra State Government led by Governor Willie Obiano on security, urging other state governors to emulate Obiano.

Adamu while speaking at the lunch of operation Kpuchapu 2 held at the Alex Ekwueme square Awka said No security agency should have an excuse to fighting crime.

In his words” This equipment is enough to assist every law enforcement agency to perform their duty. We thank you for the executive governor of Anambra State.

The donation and lunching of the seventy-nine vehicle and modern surveillance equipment including a control room to enhance the operational capacity of the Anambra police command.

“The security of this state is of paramount importance because Anambra is the eighth-most populous state of the federation. It is also the biggest commercial destination in the southeast, and also the gateway connecting the northern part and the southern part.

“Anambra needs a leader like Governor Willie Obiano who has the mission and vision will of modernizing and energizing the security in line with international standard. Any nation that requires the safety of its citizens must empower the security toward maintaining its mandate. The security of the people shall be the primary responsibility of government”.

Adamu who is the 20th indigenous Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammed Adamu encouraging Anambra state to embrace community policing and good partnership with citizens and communities.
