Ndi Anambra has continued to plead with the Members of the State House of Assembly to urge the Governor of Anambra State Willie Obiano to direct the Commissioner of Works to rehabilitate the bad roads in the state.
The Oraifite-Nnewi road is not an exception. Motorists and other road users are expressing joy as the erosion site at Oraifite-Nnewi road have begun to receive attention. This is courtesy of the Managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Venerable Amaechi Okwosa and his London based charity New Bethel Christian Center.
It all smiled on the faces of motorists, tipper drivers, Okada riders and many others who ply the only major road linking Nnewi and Oraifite.
Nnewi is a major commercial city in Nigeria and attracts people from around the world on a daily basis. The people of Oraifite, Ichi, Akwa-Ukwu and other neighboring communities use to experience hardship trying to connect with Nnewi for their daily activities, as a result of bad conditions of the road due to erosion caused by heavy flooding.

Expressing their joy, some road users, including a tipper driver, Mr. Godwin Okopi, an Okada rider, Mr. Thaddeus Ede and another road user, Mr. Godwin Ubabuko appreciated the benefactor for coming to their rescue.
Earlier while inspecting the ongoing project, the benefactor and the managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Venerable Amaechi Okwosa, said that he embarked on the project with the help of his London based charity organization to assist the state
the government in making Anambra State a better place.
On his part, the Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Works Supervisor, Mr. Okwunna Onukwulu, said that the intervention is timely and will be of great relief to the people of that area, while Mr. Ikechukwu Obidile who has been assigned with a monthly stipend to always ensure that the drainage system of that environment is open for easy flow of flood, promised to do the job with diligence.
