Ihedioha Approves The Recruitment Of 4000 Teachers Into The State Civil Service.

The Imo government has commenced the process of employing 4,000 teachers into the state’s civil service. This was revealed by a letter sent to the executive secretary, Secondary Education Management Board (SEMB), Mrs. Oby Anyakudo, by the principal secretary to the governor, TUC Nwokonkwo.

The letter dated Friday, October 18 was in reference to an earlier letter by the SEMB asking for the governor’s approval to go ahead with the recruitment exercise. “His Excellency, the governor of Imo state, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, has approved the employment of 4,000 teachers into the Secondary Education Management Board.

“Please take steps to implement the governor’s approval,” part of the letter read.

The state’s commissioner of education, Professor Viola Onwuliri, was also copied in the letter.
