Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, known as Simi, addressed criticisms from fellow artists Samuel Oguachuba (Samklef) and Olawale Oloforo (Brymo). Speaking with media personality Angela Yee, Simi expressed her confusion over the intentions behind their comments, dismissing them as more comedic than serious.

“I don’t even know what most of these people are like,” Simi remarked, puzzled by the ongoing chatter surrounding her. She emphasized her transparency, stating, “I didn’t feel anything about it because it didn’t impact me, and I didn’t have anything to hide.”

Among the controversies was Brymo’s revelation that he once proposed a sexual relationship with Simi, which she declined, leading to his refusal to collaborate with her. Similarly, Samklef admitted to having feelings for Simi in the past but chose not to pursue them to avoid complicating their professional relationship.

Simi’s husband, fellow singer Adekunle Gold, has been vocal in defending her against perceived disrespect from Brymo and Samklef. His response to Samklef was particularly pointed, asserting that Simi owes him nothing and calling for an end to the repeated mentions of her name.

Addressing another rumor, Simi clarified that her close relationship with rapper Folarin Falana (Falz) was purely musical, despite speculation about a romantic involvement. Their collaborative EP “Chemistry” fueled rumors of a romance, but Simi emphasized their friendship and musical chemistry.
