-Urges Govt to Buy Innoson Vehicles
The President of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries Mines And Agriculture (NACCIMA) Hajia Saratu Iya Aliyu on Thursday, November 14th, 2019 commissioned the newly installed automated bus manufacturing plant of Innoson Vehicles.
The President was accompanied by the Director-General of NACCIMA, Ayoola Olukanni, second Deputy President NACCIMA, Dele Kelvin Oye and other members of NACCIMA Nnewi Chapter where she inspected and commissioned the new plant.
Before commissioning the automated plant, The President expressed satisfaction at the level at which Innoson vehicles are right now compared to the last time she visited the manufacturing plant.
In his speech, the Chairman of Innoson Vehicles, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma OFR, stated that the commissioning of this new plant will increase productivity and production rate leading to more efficient use of materials, better product quality, improve safety and profitability.

He said;
“I am glad to announce that this newly installed plant has successfully reduced the cost of brand new 15-17 seater (Hummer) buses from N16M to N9M”
“We intend to duplicate the success of this production line to other production lines which include; the SUV, MPV, and Sedan cars production lines e.t.c. We will not stop until an average Nigerian can comfortably purchase a brand new vehicle”
Hajia said her happiness cannot be quantified as she is happy Nigeria is producing its own vehicle while she called on the Government from the National to the Local Government level to patronize Nigeria’s indigenous Innoson Vehicles.
In her own words:
“I want to call on all our Governments, National, State, and Local Government all over to patronize Innoson Motors, we need to support our own and create an enabling environment for him to grow and others should also emulate him”.
She also called on the government to let other West African and African countries know that Nigeria has a vehicle manufacturing plant.
“We should make it a point of duty to patronize our own just like the border is now closed and we are eating our own rice,” she added.
However, Dele Oye added that IVM will determine the quality of what should be a Nigerian standard vehicle and what kind of vehicle can come into Nigeria.
