Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has said that he has been in contact with injured Eagles’ goalkeeper Francis Uzoho who picked up a knee injury in the friendly game between Nigeria and Brazil in October, adding that he (Uzoho) and every other player with any challenges will never be forgotten.

Uzoho is in Spain where he is recovering from the knee injury following a successful surgery he underwent last week at the HM Modelo hospital in A Coruña.

In an interview Rohr said he continues to keep in touch with Uzoho and he planned on visiting him soon.

‘’I sent him already via WhatsApp, the personal messages are not for the media.

“But you can imagine the message I sent him. Like you too, we have this big NFF family, we are wishing him all the best, he’s not alone.

‘’I think we’ll see him, he’s in Spain, actually. Like we did with Carl Ikeme, but I think this is not so dramatic like it was with Carl but we never forget the injured player or somebody who has health problems.

‘’We did the best already to make sure he has very good doctors, it was necessary for him to go from Cyprus to Spain and he could do this in a good hospital.

‘’Now I hope that he can start soon hard work to recover, rehabilitation which is very important.’’
