Coach of the Super Sand Eagles’ Audu Adamu, has express optimism as regards the game with Brazil stating that the team will not depart Paraguay empty-handed and has promised to go all out and beat defending and 14th time champion, Brazil, in their last Group D game when both sides meet on Tuesday (today).

It has been a tournament to forget for the Eagles after a second straight defeat in Group D, as they fell 6-5 to Oman on Sunday to practically confirm their early exit from the tournament.

At the Los Pynandi Stadium in Luque, the Eagles were on the backfoot for the majority of the game and now sit bottom of the table with only their pride to play for when they face Brazil in their last game of the tournament.

Adamu admitted that the game against Oman didn’t go as planned but said the team would come back stronger against Brazil.

“I feel really disappointed because our strategies didn’t work. The Forwards aren’t scoring and the defenders aren’t keeping the ball out.

“We will come back with a win against Brazil. We can’t go home empty handed,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Oman FA on their Twitter handle hailed the country’s victory over Nigeria.“Our national beach soccer team wins an important victory over Nigeria.”
