The government of Anambra State has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the welfare and security of Corps members serving in the State.
Governor Willie Obiano stated this at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp at Umuawulu-Mbaukwu during the closing ceremony of the 2019 batch C stream, one orientation course.
while addressing one thousand, one hundred and eighty-eight corps members, who concluded the first of the four cardinal programmes of the NYSC, Governor Obiano observed that the activities have helped to sharpen their intellectuals, and equip them with requisite tools for their primary assignments.
Represented by the State Head of Service, Mr Harry Uduh, Governor Obiano made a strong case for the citing of South East Skill acquisition center in Anambra State to build synergy as the most enterprising and largest market in Africa.
The Governor announced that modalities have been put in place for implementing payment of corps members serving in-hard-to reach areas.

Earlier, the State co-ordinator of the National Youth Service Corps Mr Kehinde Aremu, commended the Obiano administration for creating an enabling environment, and infrastructural development, for adequate orientation and training of corps members in the State.
The State President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene, urged them to propagate unity and galvanize efforts in contributing their quota towards the development of the State.
In an interview, some corps members including Simeon Adeleke, Adeojuwa Victor, Comfort Uwah, promised to carry out their primary assignments with vigor.
