Police Discover A Decomposed Dead Man In Anambra

Men of the Nigeria Police Force yesterday November 26, 2019 discovered the decomposed body of late Dr. Gilbert Afam Gini a native of Abacha in Idemili North LGA.
Late Gini died in his apartment, a one storey building which serve as a clinic and residency purpose at No 9 Eze Crescent Ezinifite Okpuno, Awka, Anambra state
According to Barrister Duke Onyebuchi who reported the matter to the ‘B’ Division Awka said he visited a story building he manages, at No 9 Eze Crescent Ezinifite Okpuno, property of one Ugochukwu Okafor of Okeani village Oko in Orumba North LGA.

On getting to the building, discovered that all the doors were locked from within. The phone of the deceased was  switched off and he believed that he had traveled to Brazil as usual since September 2019 when he last saw him.

He was however taken aback by an unusual odour oozing out from one room in the upper floor, which prompted him to call on neighbours who assisted to open the window, whereupon they saw the decomposed body in the room.

 Police detectives from ‘B’ Division Awka led by the DPO visited the scene and confirmed the incident.

SP Haruna Mohammed PPRO Anambra State Police Command, who confirmed the incident said in a press release said  the relatives have been contacted and arrangements ongoing to evacuate the remains for autopsy and prevent disease outbreak in the vicinity.
