The Nigeria Custom Service has intercept rice smugglers who now pour rice in jerricans and then rub oil to make it looks like it contains oil.
The officers who nab the smugglers vow to arrest other smugglers in the country. Speaking to pressmen, the custom officer said smugglers have continue to diverse new means of smuggling.
According to the officer “This is a new way that they invented. if we see the rice in beg, we will arrest them, so they invented new tricks. These is another technique used. They rub oil in the at the jerricans to deceive us but we refuse to be deceived because we are trained and we have our intelligent network.
At the cover of the jerricans, you will see oil, but if you pull the cover, what you will see is rice and not oil. Any step they take, we are equal to the task. We will frustrate their efforts.
