Ahead of their weekend fixture with Jigawa Golden Stars, FC Ifeanyi Ubah ‘s players were on their way to Jigawa with the team crew when they were attacked by armed robbers in a town in Kogi State, very close to Lokoja.
They were attacked by suspected armed robbers that wore NYSC Uniform, The armed robbers on NYSC uniform opened fire on seeing their bus and seriously injured the driver and some players.

Many sustained bullet injuries and they have been rushed to the hospital, while the bus was left with bullet holes.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah is the only privately owned football club that’s still playing at the Nigeria Premier League. Other private football clubs have been relegated. The other surviving club is MFM owned by a church.
