The Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba said, for the country to address the mounting challenges of unethical behaviors at all levels of society, proper ethical conduct should be ta ught compulsorily from primary schools.
Mr. Adinuba, a strategic management expert and Journalist, made this recommendation as a guest lecturer at the 2019 Annual Public Lecture of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, CIPM, Anambra State Branch.
David Okpokwasili reports that the lecture was held at the Chike Okoli Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, chartered by Act Number fifty-eight of 1992 is the apex regulatory body for the practice of human resources management in Nigeria charged with the responsibility of determining what standard of knowledge and skills to be attained by persons seeking to become personnel and human resource managers or practitioners.
The annual lecture tagged “Work ethics and Organizational Growth” was attended by top members of management and human resource officers from different organizations in the state.

Ethical issues identified at the lecture that cripple both the public and private sectors in Nigeria include absenteeism, truancy, inefficiency, colluding with outside forces to rip off organizations, outright stealing, lack of patriotism, tampering with official documents, inability to abide by financial.
