The Anambra State House of Assembly has passed a resolution urging Governor Willie Obiano to construct a two lane each way flyover with pedestrian provisions across the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway linking Expressway linking Regina Caeli and Dr. Okey Anueyiagu Roads of the capital city.
The House passed the resolution following a motion sponsored to that effect by the Majority Leader and member representing Awka South One Constituency, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor during plenary.
sponsoring the motion Okafor hinted that the proposed flyover will ease both human and vehicular traffic at the Aroma flyover, majority contributed by motorists connecting Okpuno or Awka.
The member representing Anambra East Constituency, Hon. Obinna Emeneka noted that the flyover if constructed will save lives, increase the business activities in the area creating more jobs and wealth.

Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor expressed optimism that the Executive Arm of Government will do the needful to arrest the heavy traffic that occurs in the area.
