Nigeria Civil Defence Officer who assaulted two Medical Doctors working in Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital yesterday, Tuesday, 15th January 2020, was forced to go down on his knees to apologize for his actions.

It will be recalled that yesterday that Anaedoonline.com reported that Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, was temporarily some doctors protested the assault of two of their colleagues who were badly beaten by a Nigeria Civil Defence Officer.

Trouble started on the early hours of Tuesday morning, when a Nigeria Civil Defence Officer accompanied by his wife, brought their child who was said to be critically ill for treatment in the hospital.

According to a Staff of the hospital, who was also an eyewitness, the Doctors taking care of the patient exhibited negligence, resulting in the death of the Child.

He said that the patient father who was a Civil Defence Officer was angered by the development, resulting in the beating and assault of the two Doctors who were involved.

According to the eyewitness, when the Civil Defence Officer found out that his child was dead, he called his two colleagues, who came and locked the Children Care Unit of the Hospital, beating up the two Doctors who were assigned to the patient before his death. As if that was not enough, he called the officers of the Nigeria Police Force.

Angered by the development, the Intern Doctors in a bid to protest the assault on their colleagues, decided to suspend their services and almost shut down the entire hospital, saying that the Civil Defence Officer must apologize.
