Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to Burna Boy’s Grammy Awards loss to Angelique Kidjo. The best African act has been nominated for the Award last year along with the Benin Republic Grammy winner.

On Sunday, the afro-music singer lost the ‘Best World Album’ award category to Benin Republic singer, Angelique Kidjo.

The Benin Republic born singer-songwriter, actress, and activist after receiving the award dedicated it to Burna Boy, saying the Nigerian artiste was one of the few African artists changing the way African music was viewed in the Western world.

Nigerian musician, Burna Boy lost to Beninese singer, Angelina Kidjo at the 62nd Grammy awards show in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Kidjo has copped the Best World Music Album award category for the third time in a row.

We recall Burna Boy had been receiving congratulatory messages from celebrities and fans as well as prayers but it appears it was all far-fetched.

However, the 3 times winner on collection of her award dedicated it to the Nigerian singer for his hard work in the industry.
