Hell was let loose on Monday morning in Etitiama Nkporo, Ohafia local government area of Abia state following the death of a middle-aged woman who was killed by her husband identified as Mr. Kalu Ilum.

An eye witness who spoke with newsmen on the condition of anonymity said trouble started when the late Ilum invaded his wife’s shop at about 7 am on Monday and shot her to death, killing her on the spot.

The couple were said to have unresolved issues, leading the late wife identified as Chichi, a food vendor to seek for a divorce.

Newsmen gathered that after the dastardly act, the killer husband fled into a well for fear of attack by the locals.

Our source disclosed that it took the intervention of a native medicine man who came to make the fleeing husband uncomfortable in his hiding place, a situation that forced him out from the well.
