The member representing Ikeduru constituency in Imo State House of Assembly, and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Uche Ogbuagu, has decamped to the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
This was contained in a letter Dated, Jan 28, 2020, and addressed to the Speaker of the Imo House of Assembly, Hon. Chiji Collins, and made available to DAILY POST on Tuesday morning.
Ogbuagu, said his decision was in the interest of his Ikeduru constituents.

He also claimed that he defected to the APC over unfair treatment meted out to him by the PDP.

This came after the Chairman of the Imo state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Charles Babatunde Ezekwem has resigned and ceases to be a member of the party, we can authoritatively report. Just In: Imo State PDP Chairman Resigns, Reveals Reason
Ezekwem’s resignation letter which cited the prevailing circumstances bedeviling the party as reason for resignation said due consultations were made with his supporters and family.
According to him, his resignation has also been communicated to Okigwe ward where he also ceases to be a member of the party, henceforth.
Recall we also reported about some PDP house assembly members defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
