Serving corp members in the National Youth Service Program, have reportedly started receiving their N33000.

Recall that reports recently stated that there is an approved increment in corps members’ monthly allowance, otherwise known as allowee.

This is coming just days after the director-general of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), Shuaibu Ibrahim, revealed the monthly allowance of corps members had been increased to N33,000.

The National Youth Service Corps Director-General(NYSC) (DG), Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has confirmed that the Federal Government has approved N33,000 allowance for Corp members.

The NYSC-DG made the announcement while speaking to Corps members at the National Youth Service Corp Bauchi State Secretariat during his working visit to the State.

NYSC Allowance Increased -FG

In a press statement posted on the official Facebook page of the National Youth Service Corps, the DG said: “provision had been made for the new allowance in the year 2020 Budget, adding that payment would commence as soon as funds are released by the appropriate authorities.”

Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim also warned the Corps members to be security-conscious and must avoid rumour-mongering on Social Media.
