A two-storey building called Bethel Plaza that serves as both a commercial warehouse and an office opposite Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, Anambra was gutted by fire on Sunday.
According to an eyewitness, the fire started at a section on the second floor of the building after a raging fire from bush burning spread to the premises of the Bethel Plaza and razed part of the roof of the two-storey.
The fire was largely contained through the efforts of the youths around the area who used small buckets of water and sachet waters to put out the fire.
