Imo Government Pays Last Salaries Of Sacked LG Chairmen.

The new governor of Imo state Hope Uzodinma has paid the last salary of Emeka Ihedioha’s Sacked Local Government Chairmen in the various Local Government in the state.

It will be noted that the sacked governor, Emeka Ihedioha on his swearing in as governor of the state sacked the Local Government Chairmen of the Rochas administration without pay thereby leading to protest from them.

Hope Uzodinma who promised not to destroy but continue what his predecessors has done, made sure to pay the January salary of the sacked Chairmen thereby giving the due justice.

Calls to several former TC members of the Ihedioha administration confirmed that their last salaries had been paid by the Hope Uzodinma administration.

It will be recall that there was mounting tension across Imo state on the 6th of January 2019 as the suspended LGA Chairmen and Counsellors of the APC stage a forceful return to office months after they were suspended by the Executive Governor of Imo State Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha.

In Mbaitoli, Aboh Mbaise and Orlu amongst others, there were reports of clashes between youths of the APC and those of the PDP as the Chairmen and their counsellors attempt to force the TC members appointed by Ihedioha out of office and resume as duly elected LGA officials.

The Imo State Government through a release signed by Hon Uche Onyeagucha had warned against any attempt to disrupt law and order in the state.
