Pop Smoke’s grieving family are on a mission to solve his murder after he was killed at the age of just 20 on Wednesday.
The up and coming rapper, real name Bashar Barakah Jackson, died after he was shot by masked thugs who broke into his home.
Now the outlet has reported that the Drive The Boat hitmaker’s family are carrying out their own investigation to get answers after the tragedy.

The online site claims that Pop’s family who live in New York flew straight to Los Angeles after they found out about his horrific death and that they have been questioning witness and friends themselves – particularly people who were at his Hollywood Hills mansion before the shooting – to gather evidence,they also want to see security footage.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that the gang of four men got into his Hollywood Hills in the early hours of Wednesday morning and fired multiple shots.
They fled on foot while Pop Smoke was left critically wounded before he was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood where he was later pronounced dead.
According to Police investigating his death, there had been a party at Pop Smoke’s house prior to the shooting but it’s not clear if there is any connection to his death.
A statement from the rapper’s record label Republic Records confirmed: “We are devastated by the unexpected and tragic loss of pop smoke
“Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans, as we mourn this loss together.”
Pop Smoke is best known for track Welcome to the Party, released in April last year, which became a viral hit and was remixed by Nicki Minaj and Skepta.
It was the lead single of Pop’s debut mixtape Meet the Woo which was released in July.
Earlier this month, Pop Smoke released his second mixtape, Meet the Woo 2 , which reached Number Eight on the latest Rolling Stone albums chart,amassing 37 million streams.
The rapper also featured on Travis Scott’s 2019 track Gatti.
After he died it was revealed that Pop had accidentally revealed his address on Instagram the night before his murder.
His Instagram story showed him filming his shopping bags while he flaunted his new items, but for a brief second his Hollywood address was visible on the screen.
Pop’s account now has 1.3million followers, so hundreds of thousands of people likely saw his address in the lead up to the break in.
And it could have been how his murderers were able to track him down and shoot him, critically injuring him before fleeing on foot
