The Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma, has assured Imo athletes and their officials of their full participation at the National Sports festival holding in Benin from March 22nd – April 10th 2020.
The governor made this statement at the government house in Owerri when he received the Unity Torch.
He assured that the athletes and officials will see a different festival under his administration different from what it used to be in the past, promising to ensure that they lack nothing.

Senator Uzodinma expressed his happiness when he received e the festival’s Unity Torch for the very first time as a governor which he said has added another feather to his cap.
The torch was handed over to the governor by the state director of sports in the commission, Mrs. Chizotam Aretola who received it form a representative of the Federal Ministry of Sports, Abuja, Mrs. Owoh.
In another development, Aretha took the opportunity to appeal to the governor to come to their assistance by making funds available to enable them receive and pay for some new training kits the athletes would use at the festival.
