Oluchi Ofoma, an athlete at the ongoing Nigerian Police Games has emerged the first female athlete to win two gold medals during the games.
Oluchi who competed in the 800m race held yesterday at Rojenny International Stadium Oba, won the 800m gold.
She went further to emerge the gold medalist today after she competed in the 400m (female), bringing the total number of her gold medals in the Police Sports Fiesta to two (2).
Oluchi who represented the Force Headquarters in both events finished 800m race with 2.15.33 and completed the 400m race with 54.12. she has made history as the first female to set these record.
Speaking to the press, the athlete who was overwhelmed by her latest feat thanked God for availing her such an opportunity.
in her words, “I do not really compete in the 400m race. I am better at 800m and after the successful outing yesterday, my coaches motivated me to take on 400m, I thank God for his blessings so far in the games and I hope to do more. Oluchi Said.

Asked if she would be attempting 400m race during the upcoming National Sports Festival, the athlete confirmed that her win today at Rojenny Oba has given her enough motivation to do more. Herself and other police athletes are getting ready to represent their various zones during the national sports festival billed to take place in Edo State at a later date.
