Canon Anusiuba Celebrates At The 14th Convocation Of Unizik

Revd. Canon Overcomer Anusiuba has bagged a Doctorate degree in Data Communication and Network, Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of physical science, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra state.

Canon Anusiuba who was conferred the Doctorate degree yesterday, Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the 14th Convocation ceremony of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra state was seen joyously processing with his other graduands at the beginning of the ceremony.

The Canon who spoke to anaedoonline.com stated that he was happy celebrating today which marks the end of his Doctorate program.
The priest who already has three masters degrees in Sciences, education, and management said he was motivated by his late father to go into academics and also hopes to have a group of schools in his community in Oraifite, Anambra state.

When asked how he is able to cope as a priest, a father, a lecturer and a student, He said “one has to be consistently constant’ in what they do to achieve it. He expressed his gratitude to the last Bishop of Nnewi and Archbishop of the Diocese on the Niger(Emeritus) Diocese, Most Rev G. I. N Okpala, who encouraged and supported him and the present Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi who has seen the great need for education and urged him on.

Revd. Canon Anusiuba is the founder of Paragon Youth international, a non-governmental organization for youth, less privileged and a widow’s empowerment. He said he hopes to use his experience and knowledge to impact on the young people in his church and the Diocese. He stated, “all I am doing is for the church, the church needs sound academics to help us serve as a guide and a career coach to the young ones”.

He also expressed his gratitude to the school University of Nnamdi Azikiwe University for a serene atmosphere for learning. He appreciated everyone who supported him including but not limited to the following, Dean of Faculty of Physical Science, Prof S. O Anigbogu, Head of Department of Computer Science, Prof O. R. Okonkwo, Prof. Egboka, other mentors, Prof. Virgy Ejiofor, Prof. Philomena Igbokwe. He also appreciated some of his colleagues Doris Asogwa, Chigozie Ngene and thanked Engr Chinedu Anowai for his support.

His wife, Mrs. Anisuba was not left out in the celebration as she was present to cheer him on. She expressed her gratitude to God for the grace of God over him throughout the period of the program.
