Uruagu Nnewi Community has upheld the suspension of Sir Augustine Ikeh (Ikedoji), as Nnewi Publicity Secretary.
His suspension was upheld, yesterday, Saturday, April 11th, 2020, during the Executive meeting of Uruagu Nnewi Community.
According to his suspension letter made available to Anaedoonline.com, Uruagu Community condemned the unfortunate publication he made attacking the Hon. Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C. Don Adinuba.

Part of the letter reads;
“We condemned the unfortunate publication that he made attacking the Hon. Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment. Sir Augustine Ike apologized to us for the embarrassment caused the Uruagu Nnewi Community by the said publication and the pain on the Commissioner”
The meeting however resolved and requested that the Secretary General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Barr. Obinna Ubah should take over the role of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi pending when the community reaches the final decision in the next general meeting.
It will be recalled that on Monday, 6th April 2020, after a meeting of Nnewi Stakeholders at Igwe Nnewi Palace, Sir Augustine Ikeh was suspended indefinitely as a member of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi Executive.
According to the President-General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Chief Sir Ugochukwu Udemezue (Ifeneti), the suspension of Sir Augustine Ikeh was necessary following his refusal to retract a publication credited to him as the Publicity Secretary of Nnewi in which he described the Anambra State Commissioner of Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C. Don Adinuba as a disgrace and condemned the state government efforts in containing Coronavirus.

He said that the refusal of Augustine Ikeh to refute the publication is a clear indication that he supported the publication credited to him as Nzuko-Ora Nnewi Publicity Secretary.
The numerous actions of Augustine Ikeh including his attacks on Nzuko-Ora Nnewi Executives, Igwe Nnewi Palace, and many Nnewi Stakeholders are not in consonance with the provision of the constitution of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi which Augustine Ikeh swore to protect and accord with integrity.
