Police Nab Suspect For Setting Govt Property Ablaze In Awka

Police operatives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), today 24th April 2020 at about 9:30 am arrested mr. Ekenedilichukwu Ebuka, aged 27 years, for setting ablaze government generating set powering street lights in Awka.

According to report made available to the press by SP Haruna Mohammed, PPRO Anambra State Police Command, Suspect who hails from Nibo community has equally confessed to the crime voluntarily.

 

Meanwhile, case is under investigation to ascertain the motive behind his action after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.

Anaedoonline.com reported that Imo State Police Command has paraded three armed robbery suspects nabbed in locations around Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo states on April 17, 2020.

The suspects according to the SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, were arrested for their involvement in the robbery of one Martha Otigba of Umuakam, Ideato South LGA and so far, some items stolen from the home of the victim were recovered in the houses of the suspects.

The suspects, 33 year old James Agonsi from Ndiuchi Arondizuogu, Imo State; 30 year old ThankGod Albert from Ugwunagbo, Abia State and 29 year old Chinonso Ezeobi from Uga, Aguata LGA, Anambra State however led operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS to Umuobom in Ideato South LGA, where their arms and ammunitions were recovered.

In another report, a man identified as Chinonso Okonkwo has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 15yr old daughter. The report reads;

The Imo State Police Comand has arrested a 44-year-old man, Chinonso Okonkwo, for defiling his own daughter, 15, at Orji, Owerri North Local Government Area of the State.

According to police spokesman Orlando Ikeokwu, who disclosed this to newsmen in Owerri noted, the incest was nipped in the bud by way of information provided by a neighbour of the suspect.

Okonkwo, according to the police spokesman, has since confessed to the crime, but the police are still trying to unravel the circumstances leading to the suspect’s action.
The victim on her part revealed how her father invites his friends to his house to also have carnal knowledge of her, the police claimed.
