The Nigeria music industry has numerous talented artist, among them is renowned Nigerian songwriter and musician Patoranking whose real name is Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie

Patoranking was born in Ijegun-Egba Satellite town, Lagos, on the 27th of May 1990, but hails from Onicha Local Government Area in Ebonyi State.
The dance-hall king is the first child of a family of five. He attended Citizen Comprehensive College Epe, and Jibril Martin Memorial Grammar School Iponri both in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Patoranking started out as a dancer to a ghetto dance called ‘galala’. He danced at carnivals and to street jams.
He got his stage name Patoranking from a Jamaican friend he met at Alpha Beach, Lagos. While the Jamaican was playing his guitar, Patoranking was singing to the medley. So, the Jamaican decided to give him a name befitting his talent since ‘ranking’ in Jamaica means highly respected.
He released his first single in 2009 with Dem Mama record label. From 2005 to when he released his first single in 2009, he was collaborating with other artists.

Patoranking revealed that his inspiration come from God and his experience from the ghetto life.
He is also influenced by the music style of some notable musicians like Buju Banton, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Lucky Dube, Chaka Demus, Majek Fashek, Blackky, Blackface, Tuface and Marvelous Benjy.

In 2015, two of his singles ‘Daniella Whine’ and ‘My Woman, My Everything’ was on the top of MTV base Official Naija Top 10 Chart. ‘Daniella Whine’ was number four in May, and by June it was already number one on the chart. Meanwhile, ‘My Woman, My Everything‘, debuted at number two of the chart, on its release.
Thus far, Patoranking has released two studio albums. His music genre is a blend of reggae and dancehallThe first is ‘God over everything’. It debuted on the 1st of August 2016, ranking number four on Reggae Album chart.
He had artists like Phyno, Wizkid, Sarkodie, Olamide, Elephant Man, and Wasiu Ayinde Marshall featured in the album. In January of the same year, the Voice Nigeria made him one of the judges of the first edition of the music reality show: The Voice Nigeria.

It is expected that Patoranking should have a high net worth because his songs and music videos are internationally acclaimed. Although we do not have an exact figure of his net worth, according to infoguidenigeria.com, he is worth $1.8 million.

According to buzznigeria.com, he currently live in a townhouse in Metro Garden, Lekki, Lagos which also has a studio that makes his work easy. Patoranking also, owns a variety of luxury cars, among which are a red Porsche, Mercedes G Wagon and a 2014 Range Rover SUV.
