Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp, is reportedly ready to sell three players, to help fund a summer rebuild amid the coronavirus pandemic. According to The Athletic, Klopp is keen to add RB Leipzig striker, Timo Werner, to his ranks.

Anaedoonline, com recalls that Werner, who is expected to cost the Anfield club £52million, had drawn the interest of the Premier League leaders.

Liverpool can bolster their budget, by offloading several players now deemed surplus to requirements. They include Xherdan Shaqiri, Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic.

Shaqiri has been on the fringes of the first team and Liverpool are hoping to land £30million for the winger. The former Stoke City star had loan enquiries from Sevilla and AS Roma turned down in January.

Wilson and Grujic are currently on loan at Bournemouth and Hertha Berlin respectively. The Reds are hoping offers will arrive for the pair this summer.

Jurgen Klopp said on Liverpool’s official website: “The morning started already really well—I woke up even earlier than usual, and then I realised it is my first day.

“It felt like the first day at school; for me, it was 46 years ago, but it must have been similar. I dressed myself in my uniform again and for the right reason, for going to training.

“I drove to Melwood and was really happy to see all the boys. I didn’t see all the boys yet, I only saw 10 of them and the coaches, which is a good start, I would say. They all look in good spirits.

“We started with training, good things, not the highest intensity but the boys look in good shape.
