Chelsea will reportedly make a move for FC Porto forward Jesus Corona should they miss out on Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

Chelsea are among a number of top European clubs looking to complete a swoop for Sancho during the summer transfer window

The Blues are already resigned to losing Brazilian star Willian whose deal with the west London club is set to expire with Arsenal and Tottenham keen on snapping him up.

As such, Frank Lampard was said to have lined up Sancho at the top of his wish-list to replace Willian.

However, Chelsea are now forced to look elsewhere for options, with Manchester United said to be favourites to land Sancho. It is for this reason Corona has been touted by Chelsea as a possible back-up target for the Dortmund winger.

The 27-year-old Corona has found the back of the net two times and has seven assists to his name for the Portuguese top-flight side. However, Chelsea will once again have to contend with competition from Serie A side Inter Milan and Sevilla to sign the Mexican.

Earlier, Anaedoonline.com reported that Argentine goalkeeper Willy Caballero has thrown his weight behind his Chelsea teammate N’golo Kante over his decision to boycott training over deadly coronavirus fears.

The Premier League is scheduled to return back to action next month after about two months of suspension due to the ravaging effect of the infection.

Having being given the green light by the UK government to return to training, the Frenchman opted out from the sessions owing to health reasons. And according to Daily Mail, the World Cup-winning star has had health issues in the past after collapsing during training two years ago.

Meanwhile, his brother was said to have died due to heart complications weeks before France conquered the world in Russia.

Frank Lampard has now given Kante permission to miss the rest of the season. On his part, Caballero believes the France international is right to maintain distance with the rest of the team over the fears of COVID-19.
