Gov Uzodimma Inspects Road Construction In Owerri

His Excellency, the executive Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodimma alongside Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu, and other Senior political appointees of the shared prosperity government recently inspected the ongoing road construction within Owerri Metropolis.

The roads included: Control World Bank Road, Relief Market Road, Chukwuma Nwoha Road, Dick-Tiger Road and Assumpta–Ibari ogwa

His Excellency, the Governor had before the road inspection in Owerri, visited some ongoing road construction sites in Orlu zone and the visit was to properly ascertain the level of construction commitment on the side of the contractors.

Governor Hope Uzodinma upon Inspection of these roads applauded the contractors for their steadfastness and desire towards effectuating the 3Rs mantra of his administration.

Although the world Bank road and Assmupta–Ibari ogwa road were awarded by the past government but the contractors not satisfactorily carrying out their jobs as expected, Governor Hope Uzodinma re-awarded it to more serious contractors while Chukuma Nwoha, Dick-tiger and Relif Market Road are all fresh jobs awarded by the present government.

The Works Commissioner, Ralph Nwosu has constantly been visiting these construction sites in compliance with government measures as specified in the Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME).

The prosperity led government of Governor Hope Uzodinma is determined in giving new face to Imo Roads.

Anaedoonline.com reported that Governor Hope Uzodinma has said plans are in place to begin Mass Housing Scheme in the state. The governor said the program will being in Imo North and spread to the other two zones of the state.

Uzodinma made the statement when traditional rulers in Imo North senatorial district, paid him a solidarity visit. The monarchs also informed the governor of the lands mapped put for the project.

The governor said, “This government will remain real. We are going to start the Housing programme any moment from now. We are going to start where the land is available for us before covering other zones. Leaders in Imo North have shown that they are ready and Imo housing scheme is set to kick off from their zone”.
