My Neighbour Raped And Stabbed My Mother – Ex-Soldier Narrates

A former Nigerian soldier, Festus has shared a story of how his ex-colleague raped his mother when he was serving in 146 battalion.

According to him, the man broke into his apartment when his mum visited, stabbed her twice and raped her. He revealed his mum almost took her life.

“Rape is a disgusting thing.
When I was a soldier serving in 146 battalions.
My mum visited me, brought foodstuffs, cooked all sorts of food and served my neighbours (soldiers).
At 6 pm, I left for my duty.
My neighbour broke into the ceiling and gained entry into my apartment.

He Stabbed my mum twice at the back and raped her. My mum was a mess and almost took her own life. I didn’t forgive myself until I left the army.

When you plan of raping anyone, you plan to destroy them.

In another story, the Senate on Tuesday advocated stiffer punishment against rapists to mitigate the increasing cases of rape against the girl child in the country.

The upper chamber also called on the security agencies to strictly enforce laws against child marriages to protect the girl child.

These resolutions of the Senate followed a motion by Senator Sandy Onuh on the recent death of two girls as a result of gender and
sexual-based violence in Lagos and Edo states respectively.

Miss Uwa Omozuwa, a 100 level undergraduate of the University of Benin was allegedly raped by 11 men in a Pentecostal church in Benin City on the 27th of May, 2020.

Omozuwa later died at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) where she was taken for medical treatment.

In the same vein, a 16-year-old girl, Tina Ezekwe, was allegedly killed in Lagos when she was hit by bullets fired by policemen.
