Bruno Fernandes Reveals Why He Ignored Tottenham

Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has claimed that he ignored move to Premier League rivals Tottenham because he wanted to be part of the dream team.

The Portuguese star was on the verge of joining Spurs during last summer’s transfer window before he eventually moved to joining the Old Trafford club in January 2020.

UK outlet Mirror is reporting that Fernandes disclosed that Tottenham were on the verge of signing him previously, but he has flair and passion to play at the Old Trafford.

The creative midfielder who was a toast to several clubs especially Spurs finally moved to England in January joining Manchester United where he has so far been impressive.

In a recent Instagram live with ex-Serbian international Mario Gjurovski, Fernandes explained that he could have been lining up in the lilywhite shirt of Spurs. “The first club that was close to signing me was Tottenham with (Mauricio) Pochettino,” Fernandes said.

“Tottenham came in the summer but Manchester (United) was in January. Maybe Tottenham came again in January, but when I knew Manchester was interested I just wanted to talk to Manchester. “Manchester was my dream team in England so I am happy because I have the chance to go to a team that I always dreamed about you know.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been handed a massive boost as reports have it that their transfer target Raul Jimenez of Wolves is now available for a meagre sum of £18million.

Wolves will now face a stern test in a bid to keeping the Mexican striker as it was gathered that many clubs are jostling for the signature of the 29-year-old.

Reports have it that Juventus and Real Madrid are also gunning for the lad who Manchester United have reportedly made their major transfer target when the transfer window opens.
