In March this year, Manchester United beat Derby County 3-0 in the FA Cup fifth round in which Odion Ighalo netted twice for the Old Trafford landlords.

His performance in that game made all Manchester United fans happy most especially Nigerians who are all happy seeing Ighalo wearing the Red Devils’ jersey.

Ighalo showed superb effort against Derby County in the FA Cup, but his manager felt he should have scored three goals in the duel.

“There was a ball pass I needed to shoot but Juan Mata called me and I brought it back,” Ighalo explained according to the report on Mirror UK.

Odion Ighalo’s performance since when he joined Manchester United in January made the club to extend his deal till January 2021. And the Nigerian will now be thinking of how he can continue with his brilliant game for Manchester United after netting four goals in eight games.

Earlier, Anaedoonline.com had reported how Odion Ighalo explained that he rejected big money return to Shanghai Shenhua because Manchester United is his childhood dream club.

The ex-Super Eagles man recently signed another six-month deal at Manchester United in which many advised that he should make a return to China considering the offer Shanghai brought.

If Odion Ighalo had gone back to China, then the Nigerian would have been the highest-paid footballer ever from Africa.

But he decided to stay on at Manchester United where he has scored four goals so far in eight games for the Old Trafford landlords. While speaking with Ifeanyi Udeze on Brila FM, Odion Ighalo made it clear that his dream since he was growing up is to play for Manchester United.

He added that the chance to play for Red Devils is not what he can snub because of the money he will get by going back to China.
