Barcelona legend Ronaldinho has finally spoken on his house arrest throughout the period of coronavirus lockdown after being released from Paraguay prison.
The Brazilian and his younger brother ran into trouble at the airport in Paraguay where they were caught with fake passports and was jailed for 32 days.
Efforts made by his lawyers to get him released while in prison was abortive as the judge in charge of Ronaldinho’s case failed to grant the bail.

And while inside the jail, Ronaldinho met many inmates and also played football and snapped pictures with them before his arrest was turned to house.
Since then, the World Cup winner has been staying at Hotel Palmaroga de Asuncion which is being owned by Barcelona where he is being taken care of. While speaking with Mundo Deportivo, Ronaldinho admitted that although he is getting the best treatment stressing that lack of freedom is his major concern.
“Here at the Palmaroga Hotel we have an excellent treatment. “We have everything well ordered, we are very calm and they do anything to pass it in the most pleasant way possible. “It has been sixty long days.
People in their homes must imagine what it must be like not being able to do what you are used to. “I think that is something that will remain forever in all of us after living this complicated experience.
“I hope that soon everything will return to normal and we can return to our homes. Hopefully everything will be as before,” Ronaldinho explained.
The 40-year-old also added that he is getting the chance to train regularly at the hotel where he has been kept since.
Earlier, Anaedoonline.com had reported how Barcelona chiefs were once scared that Lionel Messi might be wrongly influenced by his former teammate Ronaldinho while he was at the club.
The Brazilian parted ways with the Catalans in 2008 having spent five seasons at Camp Nou and they feared the Argentine’s future could be in danger. He was highly influential that his manager back then Frank Rijkaard allowed some of his excesses slide.
The former World Cup winner was at the peak of his game with an awesome fan base across the globe owing to the magic he performed with his feet.
