Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has supported the Presidency’s response to accusations made by Professor Ango Abdullahi.

Prof Ango, leader of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) had earlier said in a statement that the insecurity in some northern states was an indication that President Muhammadu Buhari and the Governors of those states have lost control.

To this, he got a reply from Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President. On behalf of the Presidency, Adesina blasted Prof. Ango, calling him a ”mere irritant and featherweight’‘.

The Presidential Aide added that; ”Hearing that title, you would think the body was a conglomeration of true elders. But the truth is that NEF is just Ango Abdullahi, and Ango Abdullahi is NEF”.

He recalled when the ”one-man army called NEF showed its antipathy against President Buhari and its preference for another candidate” before the 2019 presidential election.

Fani-Kayode reacted to the presidential response, saying; ”No-one in Nigeria has supported the barbaric savagery of the Fulani herdmen more than Prof. Ango Abdullahi”.

”He is even more of an extreme hegemonist, religious bigot and ethnic supremacist than Buhari. He deserved what he got from Femi Adesina and the Presidency today” he concluded.

However, FFK While reacting to the Aso Rock crisis in a tweet on Sunday morning, said he was highly disappointed after he heard the details of what actually transpired at the Villa.

“How can a PA order his men to fire shots in the air in an attempt to intimidate and threaten @aishambuhari and the President’s children after hurling insults at them?“

FFK noted that no matter how one feels about Buhari as a person, his wife should be duely respected and protected.

“You can’t shoot guns to threaten someone’s wife and still claim to love him” FFK said.

He said the security personnel at the Villa are supposed to grab the PA by the scrotum and drag him out of the Villa, adding that he is not only a danger to the First lady and the President, but also disgrace to the nation.

“The insolent and heartless PA who was responsible for this reckless affront and brutal assault ought to be grabbed by the scrotum, dragged to the front gate and thrown out of the Villa. He is a danger to the First Lady, a liability to the President and a disgrace to the nation.” he said.

In another news, Presidency has reacted to the incident that happened in Aso Rock, Presidential villa on Thursday.

Garba Shehu, Senior Special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, has in a statement said that critics are using minor occurrence to justify attacks on the government and the person of President Muhammadu Buhari.
