Tuesday, June 30th 2020 saw the inauguration of Rotarian Anuli Omeata as the new President of Rotary Club of Nnewi Central during the Rotary End of the 2019-2020 year. Handing the mantle of leadership to the new President was the Immediate past president, Rtn. Ada Edward who led the club successfully from 2019-2020. In her admonition to the new President, the immediate past president urge the President to see her leadership as service and see to it the entrance of New members because new members bring new energy to the club and create an opportunity for more people to serve on committees, work on projects and events, and raise money for the Foundation.

In her first official address, the President, Rtn Anuli Omeata expressed happiness as the Club has presented her an opportunity to serve the community as well as humanity and that she will use every energy within her to make most of the opportunity count.

The installation of the new President witnessed the presence of many dignitaries which include; the immediate past presidents of Rotary Club of Nnewi Central such as; Rtn Princess I Nwizu, Rtn Ikechukwu Ossai, Rtn Ikechukwu Momah. Other personalities include Bar Paschal Umeanyi, Rtn Joseph Osajiuba, Rtn Kene Udechukwu, Rtn Jude Oguchi, Rtn Ogechukwu Mbaebie, Rtn Cornel Osigwe etc.

Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It is a non-political and non-religious organization open to all.

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideals of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster the following:

FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;

FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
