Chief Nwosu said one of the victims doubles as a student and operates a center for renting movies, selling of recharge card and charging of phones, but did not give further details of the second victim.

He alleged that the killing was a reprisal attack of a student who was an indigene killed last week by cultists.

He called on the Assistant Inspector General of Police zone 13, Anambra and Anambra state Commissioner for Police , CP John Abang to deploy the Anti cultism squad Enugu Ukwu and other police teams to Oko to quell the ongoing mayhem.

He said further that fear has gripped everyone in Oko Community as everyone fears for the collective damage the incident gets for their town.

Efforts to get police confirm the development was unsuccessful, but sources close to the CP’s office said the incident was unfortunate and that the CP has directed for immediate intervention to restore peace to the community.

It would be recalled that the Federal Polytechnic Oko management had directed every student to vacate following the order by Federal Government to forestall the spread of COVID-19.
