Chelsea are set to receive payments from Real Madrid, after Eden Hazard, helped Los Blancos win the LaLiga title, Sports Ration reports.

Hazard only moved to Spain last summer in a €100 million (£91m) deal, after seven years at Stamford Bridge.

But the deal included various bonus payments for the Blues, like clauses that would be triggered if Madrid won LaLiga or qualified for the Champions League.

And Chelsea could now get up to £18m after Zinedine Zidane’s side secured the title by beating Villarreal on Thursday night.

Madrid were already sure of their Champions League place for next season, before Karim Benzema scored both goals in a 2-1 win to wrestle the title back from Barcelona after two years.

Real’s qualification for the Champions League is said to be worth €15m (£14m) to Chelsea, while the club’s 34th LaLiga crown could net the Stamford Bridge outfit €20m (£18m).

Real Madrid were crowned La Liga champions for the 34th time on Thursday after they beat Villarreal 2-1 to clinch the title with one game to spare.

Karim Benzema scored twice including a second-half penalty at the empty Alfredo di Stefano Stadium to send Madrid seven points clear and end Barcelona’s two-year hold on the trophy.

Barca had to prevail against Osasuna at home and hope Madrid slipped up but their challenge ended with a 2-1 defeat at Camp Nou, despite a brilliant Lionel Messi free-kick.
