Inter want to keep Alexis Sanchez past the end of this season but there are two obstacles that need to be overcome according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Chilean national team player is currently on loan at the club from Premier League side Manchester United and having starred since the season got back underway, the Nerazzurri club would like to keep a hold of him.

Manchester United want at least €20 million for the former Barcelona and Arsenal player and his €15 million a year wages also represent a big stumbling block.

Both obstacles could be overcome if Manchester United were to agree to loan Sanchez to Inter again and if Sanchez agrees to significantly reduce his wages and spread them over multiple years.

The report also states that Inter are working to try and extend his current loan deal to allow him to participate in the Europa League and Inter are prepared to insert a clause which would mean Sanchez could not play should the two sides come up against one another.
