It was a terrible experience as several vehicles and other items estimated at millions of Naira were in the early hours of Wednesday razed at a mechanic workshop in Nkpor, Anambra State.
The incident occurred about 1:21 am, said the state fire Chief, Martin Agbili.
He said, “We received a distress call of a fire outbreak at a mechanic workshop in Nkpor, and immediately, our three fire-fighting trucks and fire-fighters were deployed to the scene.”
Although millions were lost in the fire, Agbili said their prompt intervention prevented more losses.
‘Properties worth millions of Naira were saved and there was no loss of life. The cause of the fire outbreak is unknown but the fire has been completely extinguished and our fire trucks and firefighters have left the fire scene,” he said
