Collation of Nnewi Youths under different political parties has urged the President of Nnewi Youth Forum, Hon. Amb. Paul Muoneke (JP), to resign honourably on the basis of his unwarranted and miscalculated declaration to contest for Nnewi North Local Government Chairmanship.
According to the group, Nnewi Youth Forum is a corporate entity and is absolutely non-partisan and apolitical, noting that Amb. Paul Muoneke has the constitutional right to aspire for any political office as a person but not while still holding the office of the President General of Nnewi Youth Forum.
In a letter addressed to Amb. Paul Muoneke, which was made available to Anaedoonline.ng, the youths noted that as members of Nnewi Youth Forum from different political parties, they do no longer believe they are free and protected in the forum anymore, urging Amb. Paul Muoneke, to resign in other to save the forum from a crisis.
They, however, accused Amb. Muoneke for maladministration and flagrant disregard to the principles of rule of law and good governance which has completely destroyed the foundation laid by founding members of the forum.
The group claimed that the under-fire President, has through manipulations misrepresentations and underhand dealings breached the provisions of the constitution of the forum.
Calling for his resignation, the group advised the President not to be misled by selfish people who may want him to disregard the various advises and demands of youths calling for his resignation, noting that the calls are genuine and must be addressed in the interest of Nnewi Youth Forum.
The letter was signed by Prince Nonso Obi and Tochukwu Onuwanumba for All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Akpunonu Nnanyelu and Prince Arinze Olisa for All Progressive Congress (APC), Ozinna Olisa and Damian Okolo for Young Progressive Party (YPP).
