On Monday, September 14, a water tanker crushed one person to death, leaving four others severely injured who were inside a tricycle.
In a statement by the acting Sector Public Education Officer of the Anambra state command of the Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC, RC Kamal Musa, he stated that the accident occurred opposite Jodon Shopping Mall Nkpor, along Onitsha- Awka Old road at about 3 pm.

The RC said the crash occurred as a result of excessive speeding and wrongful overtaking. He said four persons who sustained injuries in the accident were rushed to Boromi hospital Onitsha, by the FRSC rescue team from Nteje Unit Command and the dead victim’s body was deposited at the Mogue after he was confirmed dead by the Doctors in the Hospital.
