Mourinho Reveals His Worst Moments As A Coach

Jose Mourinho has revealed that his failure to lead Real Madrid to Champions League glory is still his worst spell as a manager.

The Portuguese gaffer managed Los Blancos for three seasons and reached the semi-finals of the elite competition three times.

Mourinho has lifted the trophy twice during his spell with FC Porto and Inter Milan before joining Madrid but on three attempts, it did not happen.

And the Special One recalls the 2011-12 season where Real were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich.

In the previous season, the former Chelsea boss was also stopped by Spanish rivals Barcelona on the last hurdle into the finals.

And the 2012-13 camapiagn saw Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund come out of the nowehere to outshine the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.

But the current Tottenham manager has not healed from the wounds suffered from Bayern in the shoot-out loss, claiming he would have led his former side to victory. Mourinho said:

“If I have to choose the worst moment, it is that elimination with Madrid,” Mourinho said in an interview with Portuguese television channel Sic reported by Marca.

“We were the best team in Europe, without a doubt, we won La Liga beating all the records for points and goals and we would have won that final, I have no doubts.
