A discreet investigation carried out by Anaedoonline on the main reason a top aide to Senator Ifeanyi Ubah resigned from his camp is because of a power tussle between him and Kamen Chuks, the Head of Strategic Communication of Ifeanyi Ubah.
On Thursday, in a Facebook post, Amb Adichie released his resignation letter as Ifeanyi Ubah senior aide. He stated inter alia
NOTICE OF RESIGNATION
Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am resigning from my position as the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Personal Assistant on Legislative Matters.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve enjoyed and provided working on the operations of the team for the past three years. I have learned alot and it’s been a wonderful experience, all of which I will take with me throughout my career.
I wish the team Ifeanyi Ubah Organization the very best.”*
However, a discreet investigation carried out by Anaedoonline revealed that Amb. Adichie resigned as a result of poor treatment and power tussle between him and Kamen Chuks. A source who pleaded anonymity revealed to Anaedoonline.ng that there has been a power tussle and cold war between Amb Adichie and Kamen Chuks since the later was appointed as the Head of Strategic Communications.
Adichie was over the years after the resignation of Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia seen as the official spokesman to Ifeanyi Ubah. As spokesman, Adichie encountered lots of enemies from people who oppose Ifeanyi Ubah or any other person who doesn’t share the same idea or vision with his boss.
He was known to launch furious attacks and insults to any individual or group of people who stands in oppositionto his Boss.
In recent times, Adichie has reduced the vibrancy he was known for and has tried to be diplomatic and more professional in engaging Ifeanyi Ubah’s opposition.
But Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah who wasn’t comfortable with the new way Adichie was handling his media job, recruited his known enemy, fierce critic and a major PDP media boy, Kamen Chuks to take over from Adichie. Kamen Chuks was on June 7th 2020 officially appointed as Head of Strategic Communications to Ifeanyi Ubah.
Sensing that the move may bring discontentment to his media camp, The Chief of Staff to Ifeanyi Ubah, Chigozie Udeogu hastily clarified the appointment in a Press Statement published on his official Facebook page stating “We are delighted to officially announce that Senator (Dr.) Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has approved and ratified the appointment of MR. KAMEN CHUKS OGBONNA as HEAD, STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS.
This appointment is in line with Mr Kamen’s adept background in strategic communications and his long drawn inclination to Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s vision and progressive agenda. Being a staunch supporter of the brand “Ifeanyi Ubah” for some time now, we are in no doubt of his loyalty and capacity to deliver with value, especially against the odds.
At this juncture, it is important and instructive to note that this appointment is without prejudice to Amb. Izuchukwu Adichie’s office as Senior Special Assistant on Media to Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Ubah as both offices will synergize effectively and efficiently to achieve maximum results”.
Ever since the entrance of Kamen Chuks into the Ubah media camp, there has been a power tussle and a cold war between him and Amb Adichie. Kamen Chuks has always had the upper hand as a result of the massive support he enjoys from the senator.
A source revealed to Anaedoonline.ng that what led to Adichie calling it quits was the removal of one of their media team member, Chukwuemerie Uduchukwu popularly known as Conqueror by Kamen from the PIU WhatsApp group and Adichie reinstated him. Kamen showing he’s the one in charge removed the person again and Adichie felt slighted and added him back again. Kamen went to report the matter to Ifeanyi Ubah. Ifeanyi Ubah suspended Adichie through his chief of staff and subsequently chased him out of his official residence in Abuja.

It then dawned on Adichie that his services were no longer needed there. On Thursday, Oct 15th, 2020, he formally tendered his resignation.
Members of Anambra Central in the senators camp appears to be sad as they feel marginalised by the turn of events.

According to feelers, there’s been a serious problem in the camp since the arrival of ‘one’ Kamen, who was once a thorn in the flesh of the Senator and his media team.
