EPL: Ancelotti Hails Iwobi Ahead Of Everton, Leeds Utd Clash

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi has been labeled as a good player by Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti who claimed that the Nigeria has been of great importance to his squad this term.

Alex Iwobi left Arsenal last season for a move to Everton and the Nigerian has so far played 33 games for the side netting only one goal.

The 24-year-old has been deployed to right-wing back position by Carlo Ancelotti and has been doing well in that department.

And ahead of Everton’s next Premier League game against Leeds United, Carlo Ancelotti explained that he is satisfied with the performances of Alex Iwobi.

“I was happy about his performance against Fulham, He did well. He can cover that position as a full-back.

“Iwobi is a good player but he needs to feel that confidence, as does everyone. For Alex it’s important to feel there are people that has confidence in him.”

Alex Iwobi played 100 games for Arsenal netting 11 goals and won the English FA Cup title before he left the Emirates stadium.

In the national team, Alex Iwobi has played 44 games for the Super Eagles since 2015 scoring nine goals.
