Cesc Fabregas claims Maurizio Sarri had a superstitious belief that Chelsea players should train at the same time every day.

The Spanish midfielder added that part of Sarri’s style of management angered players due to an advice their coach got from an Italian scholar.

The Italian gaffer spent only a season at Stamford Bridge as the Blues finished third in the Premier League but won the Europa League.

Fabregas left Chelsea for Monaco in Sarri’s sixth month as manager of the club and the Italian also joined Juventus at the end of the season.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona star as quoted by Mirror via Tuttosport: “Sarri is a good coach but he is very superstitious and it’s difficult to make him change his mind.

“For example, he always wanted us to train at 3pm, which was a bad time for players with families.

“Our kids would spend the morning at school, and when we’re back from training they’d be already asleep, so we spent the whole day without spending anytime with them.

“We asked him to change the time once but he told us that we had to train at 3pm because a scholar from Pisa had scientifically proven that this is the best time for the body.
