Nnewi Community Gifts Innoson Granite Pickup To Two (2) Indigenes That Emerged As Anglican Bishop (Photos)

To celebrate their two (2) sons who were consecrated as Bishops, Nnewi Anglican Community has gifted two (2) Innoson Granite Pickups to the Anglican Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese, His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Dr. Prosper Afamefuna Amah and the Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Chukwuka Ndubuisi Obi.

The vehicles were donated to the two (2) Bishops, today, Monday, 21st December, 2020, during the formal reception of the two (2) bishops at the Cathedral Church of St. Mary’s, Uruagu Nnewi.

Anaedoonline.ng learnt that the ceremony was organized to honour the sons of the community that emerged as Bishops. The purchase of the vehicles was made possible through the donations of the sons and daughters of Nnewi community.

The brief ceremony had the presence of the Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. Kenneth Orizu (III), Obi Uruagu, His Highness, Obi Afam Charles Obi (Ogidi IV) Obi Nnewichi, His Highness, Obi George Onyekaba (Obidiugwu) and the President-General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Chief Sir Ugochukwu Udemezue (Ifeneti)

Others are, the Former Governor of Anambra State, Her Excellency, Dame Virgy Etiaba, Archbishop of Niger Province and Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Grace, the Most Rev. Dr. Alex Ibezim and other dignitaries.

His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Dr. Prosper Amah, emerged as the Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese on Wednesday, 4th April, 2018. He is an indigene of Akaboezem Uruagu Nnewi. His emergence was because of the Translation of Ogbaru Diocesan Bishop Rt. Revd. Dr. Samuel Ezeofor to Aguata Diocese after the retirement of His Grace The Most Revd. Christian Efobi who retired as the Bishop Of Aguata Diocese.

It will also be recalled that His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi emerged as the Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese on Wednesday, 21st August, 2019. He is from Okpuno, Nnewichi, Nnewi. He replaced the retired Archbishop of Niger Province and Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, His Grace, The Most Rev. Prof. Godwin Okpala (OON, JP).

Bishop Ndubuisi Obi became the 3rd Nnewi indigene to become a Bishop, after Late Bishop Uzodike who was the First Nnewi indigene to become a Bishop and Bishop Prosper Amah, who is the current Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese.
