Another Nigerian Woman Referee Gets FIFA Badges

A model and beauty pageant of Nigeria extraction, Terah Kabeda Beauty of the FCT Referees Council and another woman referee from the Lagos State Council, Akintoye Yemisi Eunice are due to join other FIFA graded referees from Nigeria for the 2021 badging exercise scheduled to take place today in Abuja.

The youthful Terah Kabeda Beauty and Akintoye Yemisi Eunice were among the Women referees invited across the country to take part in the FIFA Listing exercise involving Medical and Physical Fitness Tests, at the National Stadium, Abuja, November last year.

While Akintoye who was born on Christmas Day in 1995 has a Diploma in Human Kinetic and Health Education of the University of Lagos, and now a final year student of Human Kinetic and Health Education of the University of Lagos, will be badged as a Referee, Terah, a student of the FCT College of Education, Zuba, studying Physical and Health Education will wear Assistant Referee badge.

Akintoye, also a Physical and Health Education teacher In Hubert Ogundu Memorial School, Lagos obtained his Grade One certificate in refereeing in 2018. She handled Nationwide League and Nigeria Women Professional League matches before the present elevation.

The female arbiter from Lagos handled the Lagos State FA Women Cup final and was part of the 2020 FIFA MA Course. She emerged Best Referee in Ikorodu Society of the Lagos State Council in 2019.

Apart from teaching and refereeing, Akintoye is a professional event handler with specialty in photography, photo editing and video coverage

On her own part, Terah is a member of family of eight from Gbari tribe in FCT. She hails from Kwali Area Council. She passed through the crucibles of referee training and obtained Grade One In 2019 and has taken part in FCT state league and other Council matches including the Nigeria Professional Women League matches.

Away from school activities and refereeing, she is a model and beauty patent queen having won the Miss Kwali beauty show. Also, Miss Terah is an enterprising entrepreneur involved in catering services and events decorations.

The Leadership led by Otunba Tade Azeez and entire members of the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, congratulate the duo as they are decorated with the white badges to join others in the elite class of refereeing at the international stage.
