The rumours that former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode is planning to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) has attracted a reaction from Bashir Ahmad.

Bashir Ahmad is the personal assistant on new media to President Muhammadu Buhari and he took to his Twitter account on Monday evening to suggest that Fani-Kayode might not be welcomed in the party (APC).

Though he didn’t mention any name, the choice of words, and previous rumours in the news space all point to the fact that Ahmad was referring to Fani-Kayode.

Fani-Kayode Reveals Why He Met With APC Leaders

The presidential media aide wrote: “If he decides to join the governing party, I don’t think he will be welcome by majority of the party members, who he made it a duty to attack and insult for several years.”

It will be recalled Fani-Kayode has reportedly met with the Chairman, APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, and Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello at a Guest House in Abuja.

The closed-door meeting, which lasted for about an hour, may not be unconnected with the alleged plans for the return of the former Minister to APC.

Fani-Kayode had earlier met with Governor Bello in his Wuse Zone 6 residence in Abuja before he led the former Minister to the party chairman’s Guest House.
